Fascinating read.

I can talk to you about tea all day long, but it would seem I don't know much about coffee!

Thank you, Azlin. Coffee, like tea, is a carrier of stories. Reading coffee grounds or tea leves is supposed to reveal the future. I find myself using them to read the past.

Understanding those stories makes us better cooks. Once you know how an ingredient traveled, you begin to understand why it belongs where it does.

As someone who has long been fascinated by the history of coffee, I found this excellent.

And for the beard. Thank goodness it was substantial enough to hide seven coffee beans unnoticed. I couldn't have done that.
